I will treasure everything of you like the gems of wisdom a scholar keeps in the coffer of his mind. When I look at your smile, in my heart, poems take birth. As a chivalrous lover, I want to proffer them to you. For you are my poetry.

Her legs are now treading artfully,
Stopping once she reaches her destination;
She’s content, for schools are now reopened,
Gladdened is she at the prospect of
Meeting new students,
Friending youngsters,
And… making money.
She has never been to school though.
Lifeless stood the trees
Bare of leaf in a silent forest
Where no living creature ventured
Inert was the night sky
Expressionless and inscrutable of regard
Devoid of sparkle from stars
Empty of meteor or cosmic dust
My brother was called point five since his walk
Was like that of a lass and likened much
To dames that were abiding far; his speech
Was quite high-pitched, possessing girlish touch.
The folks he was acquainted with would breach
Rules made, not one or two or three but each.
The ocean slumbered
Beneath the silent eyes of a sea of stars
Strewn across the vast firmament
The slow lapping of a million waves
Into deep sleep
Did the waters lull
All the fishes of the sea
Had for the night retired
Into myriad secret folds
Eldritch witches stitched the charming chambers
With chandeliers, each of which bewitched
Charlie; and Charles, who was chastised
By rich, unchaste, chilling chaps,
Who, with cheeks chiselled, downed
Glasses of champagne,
Chilled and cheering,
Choked, choking
Witches
Floating
On the sine of the wave
I become it
I bend
I rest on the crest.
The roses no longer taste ruby,
Minarets swept into the sea,
Flicking digits hotly,
Pulling triggers until bodies stop twitching
miserably.
I am black and silver and crimsoning,
War drums rhythmically.
The nuclei ripped asunder,
Thermal nuclear proclivity.
Stygian puts a legion at my dominion,
Animus hostility,
All I see is red.
You were
The picture of the goddess I replaced women with.
The treasure I use to seek,
The figure I use to chase.
I am ego, a creation of gifted evolution
Born to create mayhem
Playing devil’s advocate upon the manifested plane, of illusionary realities
Only to be suppressed, and overcome, through devotional practices
Wise,
Doughty,
And wondrous
Is each woman
I’ve known since childhood.
When I was awakened this morn
From a kip that lasted too long,
Humming were birds one adorb song,
One that I’d oft heard in Cape Horn.
When half of it had rained off
And half of it remained
The jewels that made it dazzle
Were yet to go away.
A heart-wrenching separation
Between the two took place.
They kissed each other goodbyes,
And from each other’s lives
Got erased forever.
They got erased, forever…
He began to chuckle to himself
when he saw pictures of the joyous moments
he and his wife had shared on the shelf.
He then turned his head
to the other armchair that was empty;
He just stared at it longingly.
He turned his head once again
because he’d thought he
heard from the kitchen
his sweet wife Nan saying ,
‘I’ll put the kettle on dear.’
I’ve built a world inside of me
Where nothing can go wrong,
A world where only I can go,
A place where I belong.
I’m the city
I have
an enigmatic countenance
and a heart redolent of a mirage;
My charismatic appearance
Is a dreamy apparition
breeding frail hope and forbearance!
Winds wind well while cold months, worn, weakened, get wound down;
Assailing coldness that has done a lot of wrongs,
Heralding spring, a season as bright as the Sun
As plants beam, flower, making us sing many songs…
You heard it right!
My classmates used to bully me;
By flaunting their mothers’ profession, they’d thought themselves supreme.
I wanted to teach them a lesson;
By poking me, how could they have fun?
