Janelle Erin Elizabeth Peters

Janelle Erin Elizabeth Peters, who hails from New Brunswick in Canada, mothers three amazing children. She started writing poetry when she was about eight years old. Having spent nearly nine years in nursing, caring for seniors with Alzheimer's Disease and other types of dementia, she had to quit her job on account of the pandemic. She stayed home with her children. Janelle, who adores people and loves reading and writing poetry, struggles with some mental health problems and writes poetry for joy and healing. She is currently in the process of completing her first book entitled 'My Journey to Healing Through Poetry.'

Inner Child

It’s okay to be broken
And let it all out
All the words you’ve left unspoken
That you’re unable to shout
Cry little girl
You’re not out of place
Go right ahead child
Have the tears roll down your face
