Roots

As I write this,
Hope pervades the moonlit air
Persisting in my heart.
Out of all the love you have for the world
I hope you render a lot of it
To yourself

Because

When tears elude your eyes
As streams of pain
In a sorrowful silence,
The only voice draped in the blanket of solace,
Which is truly a spark
In the air soaked in darkness,
Is yours…

Life
Is like a flourishing tree,
And every other person you know
Is its leaf.
Leaves are its beauty;
And some may not be more than a burden.
But at the end of the day
Leaves shed off.

All that remains is you-
The roots of your tree,
As a symbol of eternal support.
