Thank You!

Should I venture to say please fine
if I forget to say my thanks?
Wish I could my thoughts now define
that pop out like a lava bare.

The ‘Accident’

I saw up ahead the articulated trailer of a lorry jack-knife out in front of the scaffolding truck, the truckโ€™s brake lights igniting in glowing red against the mist of spray. The roof of the scaffolding truckโ€™s front cab crumpled against the trailer and the flapping high visibility jacket move slowly towards me, in my direct line of sight, as I pumped the brakes.

Treetops Crowned in Glory

Treetops crowned in glory and gold
Basked in the late afternoon sun
As the great day star
Pierced the glowing firmament
Of an autumnal idyll
With golden shards
That into fragments a’myriad
Did a’shatter
Dappled lights a’many

What’s Real Isn’t Seen

‘The Sun shines like a jewel as the day dawns,
dispelling the darkness’ brought by night;
I watch the sky devoid of clouds,
a sky that beams with light bright.’
