What Brought Us Here?

Have ever you enquired what brought us here?
This place with no end seems fraught, strange and odd!
The stars witnessed at night do not appear
At morning when the Sun above glows hard.

The souls that long ago this planet trod
Have now gone missing and cannot be found;
Weโ€™re born, we bide, believing there is God,
But death transpires then, knell becomes the sound.

Nothing for those here ends, the Earth moves on;
What haps to dead though is a question mark;
Men come, men go, men live in lands forlorn,
But on a sad day they leave with no spark.

Could you declare today where all shall go,
So ways I find to leave with no ado?
